Best new hair products | Styling Products

A few weeks ago I shared all the best shampoo and conditioners with you – so today I’ll be dishing on the best newly released hair styling products...so tune in and let’s all rock styled, happy, healthy, goooood hair – even if we are all staying home more than we used to. I find it’s been nice to keep up a beauty routine – it acts as a short break from the gravity of world events. A mini meditation of sorts before the day starts. The bathroom has truly become my sanctuary.

Now, I have fine, lightly-wavy, processed hair – so the below are great for me and may not be the perfect match for you – but I’ve included the brand’s information on who the product is best suited for – so you can be the judge.

Now, let’s talk about hair stylers.

I have a mix of heat protectors, texturizers and shine sprays I’ve been using regularly that I think you will love.

Texturizers! I am a recent convert, I never used texturizers before but now they are part of my everyday regime and really give my fine, flat hair that piecy, defined look while adding volume and control.

Here are my go-to hair texturizing products:

Rene Furterer Paris | Style Texture Spray

Rene Furterer texture spray

I had not heard of this Paris-based line before being gifted with the Style Collection…and I am now a big fan! The Style Texture Spray is a lightweight spray that contains Jojoba extract to soften the hair while adding control, texture, volume and shine.

I spray texture hair at my roots to add volume and, when I curl my hair, I lightly spray on my waves and at my roots for a more piecy look. This spray adds just the right amount of ‘grip’ – so it is also a perfect spray for when you are planning to wear an up-do or a textured ponytail.

SGX NYC | The Do-It-All

SGX NYC The Do-It-All

If you follow me on Instagram (@immfab), I am constantly raving about this product while also crying on the inside as I discovered it while in the States, shopping at Target…so far the only place I can find to buy it.

This dry texture spray claims to be a 3-in-1 spray – adding volume and hold while refreshing the hair…and it does. I use this spray when I want some boost, a little grip and especially on two or three day old hair to revive it. I love this spray and love the price even more – for under $5USD it is a STEAL so if you find it BUY IT and thank me later.

Now, my favourite go-to Heat Protectors:

First up – Joico’s Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Crème

Joico’s Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Crème

This is a brand new release for Joico and I am loving it. This product is a little miracle as it not only protects your hair from the heat of dryers and styling tools, it reduces frizz and time spent drying your hair by up to 50%. Formulated to act like a shield to defend against heat, it also defends against breakage.

Described as the perfect blowout in a bottle, it leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny.

Next, Goldwell’s Kerasilk Reconstruct Regenerating Blow-Dry Spray (I linked you to the amazon link as that price is really great for this product as it can range as high as $42)

Goldwell’s Kerasilk Reconstruct Regenerating Blow-Dry Spray

Goldwell is a salon-quality product line that is known for trustworthy, innovative products. Their Kerasilk line is specifically made for stressed and damaged hair. I was gifted the Kerasilk Reconstruct regenerating blow-dry spray and honestly forgot about it for a few months before trying it…and I have not looked back!

Often heat protectors can leave a heavy residue or weigh down my hair if I spray too much on, but not this product! Its bi-phase formula is super lightweight. Not only does this product protect against the heat of dryers and styling tools, it contains keratin to actively strengthen the hair, penetrating deeply to nourish, detangle while leaving your hair soft, smooth and manageable. I love it and have noticed that when I use it consistently my hair breakage is greatly reduced…just remember to give it a good shake first.

Now conditioning sprays are new to me…

Conditioning sprays are something I recently started using as I notice in the winter the hair near the back of my neck gets really tangly and staticky (due to wearing scarves and my giant winter parka). Conditioning sprays help my hair resist becoming a giant rat’s nest and adds a lovely healthy shine.

My current favourite conditioning spray is Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Silkening Fragrance Mist.

Sebastian Professional Dark Oil Silkening Fragrance Mist

Earlier this Summer you read about my love of this collection’s shampoo and conditioner (if you didn’t have a chance, here is the link ). I said “this is the hair collection we deserveand this is another item from the collection I can’t get enough of.

The smell is straight up phenomenal. I feel like the fanciest lady in all the land when I spray this on my hair. It has such a luxurious scent. Depending on the season, I use this on the back of my hair to revive it post winter scarf snarl-up and on ‘second day’ hair to give it a lovely, refreshed sheen. It is heaven and I want you to treat yourself to a bottle.

Finally – hair spray. My desert island product. What would I do without hairspray?!

My current favourite is the Rene Furterer Style Finishing Spray.

Rene Furterer Style Finishing Spray

The perfect hold level, the fine mist contains nourishing jojoba plant extract which helps this product’s long lasting hold. Unlike some hairsprays, this spray does not leave your hair sticky, unworkable, stiff or dull. It keeps your hair soft and bouncy while locking in that look. I also helps prevent humidity from keeping up with its frizzy ways.

OK, Fab Friends – those are my top new hair products I’ve been using and loving.

I’d love to hear your current favourite products – comment below or follow me on @immfab.
