Summer Hair | Best New Hair Masks and Treatments – Giveaway

August 12, 2019

Long days in the sun, swimming in lakes and pools…all these Summer activities leave your hair a little crispy and unmanageable. I’ve been looking for the best new hair masks and treatments to share with you and have found these I know you will love as much as I do…I am even giving away a product – keep reading to win.

Sayonaro crispy locks! Bonjour silky, manageable manes!

First up is from Phyto Paris – their PhytoJOBA Moisturizing Mask for Dry Hair – $30

Phyto Paris is renowned for creating high quality hair products for the last 50 years. Their new moisturizing mask for hair will hydrate your hair without weighing it down. Key for someone like me with fine, processed hair.

Packed with Jojoba oil, this mask strengthens your hair fibre and protects it from dehydration.

Easy to use – I squeeze a bit into my hands and work into a light lather, then evenly apply on the lengths of my hair. You can leave it on for 1-2 minutes, but, if you’re like me and need a little extra love, keep it on there for up to 7 minutes before you rinse it out.

Next is a this dry-hair tag-team from luxe brand, Kérastase. The new Resistance line containing the Soin Premier Thérapiste Fibre quality renewal care – $48 and the Bain Thérapiste Balm-in Shampoo – $45 is Summer’s power duo specifically formulated for very dry, over-processed fine hair.

This is a unique product as you apply it before you shampoo to protect your hair fibre during shampooing, all without weighing your hair down. Easy to use – you first wet your hair down and apply, letting sit for 1-3  minutes before rinsing. Your next step is to shampoo!

After using Soin Therapiste pre-shampoo treatment, you apply this Bain Therapiste to wet hair, massaging from scalp to ends.  You can follow this up with a high-quality conditioner.

I find, when used together, these products have left my hair feeling soft and bouncy.

Finally, the ShuUemura Essence Absolue ($69) is a game changer!

This is a taming and nourishing overnight serum made from Japanese red camellia oil – perfect for dry hair. How it works is you apply the serum on damp (or dry) hair right before you go to bed, making sure you evenly apply on your ends. Overnight it works to protect your hair from frizz, detangles and even helps make styling your hair easier the next day.

Now…how do you not ruin your pillowcase with this? I find it absorbs into my hair quicly, but because I have a silk pillowcase, I remove that and use an older case I don’t care as much about when I do this treatment…just in case.

I really think this product is a summer hair game-changer and wanted to share the love with you!

My friends at Shu Uemura gave me an extra bottle to giveaway to one lucky reader.

  7. So, I went to the Calgary Stampede this year, wanting to see the miniature horses. Some of them are dressed in jammies and they are too cute. But their enclosure was roped off so the horses could “rest”. Boo. Still, the heavy horses were on display for marvelling and petting, if their noses were at the bars. Most were boys, but there was an 1800 lb female named Jade. The person I was with gives me this evil smile and says, “I feel like I have seen Jade’s mane on YOUR head.” I mean, yeah, my hair can look like a fried mess, but RUDE. Don’t let me be a Jade. Give me the Kerastase.
