I want to dish on my favourite and absolute best new shampoo and conditioners. Now, I have fine, semi-wavy, processed hair – so the below are great for me and may not be the perfect match for you – but you can be the judge.
Let’s talk best new shampoo and conditioners – having perfectly clean and conditioned hair is the foundation to having great hair. So on that note, below are my favourite shampoo and conditioner sets I know you will love.
Sebastian Professional | Dark Oil Collection
Sebastian Professional Dark Oil collection – this is the hair line we all deserve. If I used one word to describe it, it would be ‘chic’. The first time I used it, I audibly said ‘oh my’. The smell is pure luxury. Like an expensive French perfume.
The Sebastian Dark Oil Lightweight shampoo’s lather is incredibly light and frothy like the top of a perfectly frothed tea laté.
What is so special about the Sebastian Professional Dark Oil collection is its lightweight finish that leaves your hair smooth and shiny and bouncy and that is all due to the special blend of oils the line uses.
The Sebastian Dark Oil Lightweight conditioner smooths and detangles in a snap and feels so luxurious. I leave it on for five minutes and when I rinse my hair out, it has never felt so soft. Conditioners often weigh my fine hair down – but not this one! It is a fine-hair dream.
Now, if you need a little more, Sebastian also has a Dark Oil Lightweight Mask that goes that extra mile in nourishing the hair. To use, you want to towel dry your hair first to remove excess water, then massage onto the length of your hair, leaving it to work its wonders for 2-5 minutes before rinsing out.
Next up, Joico’s JoiFull Volumizing collection.
With fine hair, I dream of voluminous waves and effortless bounce…and this line is helping my dreams come true. Joico is a brand I’ve loved for a long time and they are on fire with new releases this year. I am currently sampling their brand new, Hydra Splash line, but wanted to share the scoop on their JoiFull Volumizing Collection – because who can’t use a little more oomph for their hair?!
The Joico JoiFull Shampoo not only smells delightfully fruity and fresh, it’s gentle on the hair and does a wonderful job of cleansing. Unlike a lot of volumizing products, this line does not leave any sort of residue, stickiness, or ‘crunch’ to your hair, but instead leaves it naturally bouncy and full.
The Joico JoiFull Conditioner is another favourite, as it is a powerful detangler that leaves hair light and touchable. You can use it everyday (though I only wash my hair twice a week) as it is gentle while leaving a lovely, lightweight shine. I’ve found my hair naturally voluminous, lightweight and frizz-free!
L’Oreal Professionnel Paris | Serie Expert, B6 + Biotin Inforcer Collection
Specifically formulated for ‘fragile hair prone to breaking’, this collection is packed with vitamin B6 and Biotin to instantly reduce breakage while conditioning.
Serie Expert Inforcer, Anti-Breakage Shampoo
I was losing a lot of hair after I transformed my hair from brunette to red mid last year and needed something to help stop the breakage. This was gifted to me and couldn’t have arrived at a more perfect time. In combination, the shampoo and conditioner reduce breakage and make hair more resistant and stronger the more you use it. I found it absolutely helped reduce breakage – so I recommend it to whoever is planning a hair transformation in the future.
The collection smells indescribably great and does a wonderful job cleaning my hair.
Serie Expert Inforcer, Anti-Breakage Conditioner
This strengthening, anti-breakage conditioner helps make hair stronger, reduces breakage and makes it easier to brush out gently, with continued use. You will want to apply it to towel-dried hair and let it sit while you shave before easily rinsing out.
And finally, the Serie Expert Inforcer, Anti-Breakage Mask
This product means business and needs to be applied to towel-dried hair, then left on for 3-5 minutes for it to work its magic.
