Vivier Hyperpigmentation Program 4% HQ

February 15, 2019

With teaching multiple fitness classes, my skin takes a beating. So naturally, I am reaching for my trusted stand by: Vivier.

Specifically, the old SkinTX line which is now the Hyperpigmentation Program. Luckily, many of the same wonder products are still available within that program and I was able to try the HQ 4% kit.

This is the big guns. If you opt for this program: USE SUNSCREEN EVERY MOMENT. Skin cell turn-over is rapid, so protect that fresh skin.

The Retinol 1% Night Complex is my BFF for solving many skin issues. Bye-bye, fine lines and lack-lustre complexion. This product gently sloughs away dead skin cells. Be warned: newly exposed skin is extremely sensitive to the sun – use the provided Sunscreen Lotion 30 SPF (broad spectrum). If new to retinols, start SLOW. IE start 1x week. (Mainstay in my regular skincare regime.)

Another fantastic product is the Exfoliant Forte, which contains glycolic and lactic acids. This lotion tingles like MAD. Use as the product suggests – only in the morning and follow-up with SPF. The acids slowly exfoliate the skin to remove the surface layer, which then exposes new skin cells. Enchantez, baby face glow.

The pimple fighter is the Medicated Wash (salicylic acid usp 2%). Yes, I still get breakouts from time to time: ugh. To ensure my face doesn’t become over-dry, I use this wash once a day at the very end of teaching to clear away any left over sweat and oil. (Pssst: great product for those who suffer from back acne.)

After a pimple heals on my face, often I have a remaining discoloration. Frustrating, indeed. This is where the Corrector 4 and the Seequin 4 IDS serum come into play for me. I spot treat the areas with the serum and then the Corrector Cream.

Hydroquinone is the active ingredient, which is a bleach. Yes, it is a controversial ingredient, but for myself, it is the only product that has worked in changing the remaining discolorations of past pimples into simply radiant skin. Plus, delicate mindful use of HQ has positively changed the hyperpigmentation on my skin caused by my younger years of sun worship. Not for everyone, but I keep HQ in my beauty arsenal for targeted skincare results.

Truth be told, every single product in this line has a specific ‘job’. Depending on how my skin feels that day, I may use every single product in the Hyperpigmentation program and the next, I may only use 1 or 2. I only use this program as a skin kick-start – 3 months max. TIP: apply all excess product to back of hands for rejuvenated paws.

For a skin reboot, I cannot recommend Vivier enough. Pharmaceutical grade products that actually give results.

Bisous,

Mlle Fab Skin Again
