Summer is officially here!
That means that I’m leaning towards lighter fabrics, which calls for proper underpinnings.
Thankfully, Anita came to my rescue!
German company, Anita, is well respected in the female undergarment business because since inception, the brand has studied all aspects of breasts resulting in specially engineered brassieres.
Ladies, cannot stress enough: go to a custom fitting. From an Anita specialist, I learned that I have been wearing an incorrect size of both the band and the cup for decades. So embarassing. After I blushed profusely, the lovely brassiere pro reassured me that I was not alone as most women do the same as I – tighten the straps as the band is not the correct size. A properly fitting bra is HEAVEN.
When I tried the Rosa Faia Fleur on, I couldn’t help myself, “this is SO comfortable!”. True story. Lace cups delicately contrasted with the wine bow is simply elegant. (Available in other colour combos.) I reach for this underpinning time and time again as the ‘barely-there’ lace adds nothing to my frame besides support, perfect for light summer dresses. Talk about lovely comfort!
If you’ve been reading the blog for awhile, you know that I teach fitness classes from time to time, so I’m always in search of a good sports bra. Constructed to minimize movement of a breast during exercise, which is usually 30o IN ALL DIRECTIONS. I know. The ladies obviously require support. I have been testing the Momentum style out for months. Usually after class, I’m contorting my body trying to remove a sticking wet sports bra, which results in me whimpering and being choked by the band wishing I had scissors. Not so with this beauty. Besides keeping me well supported, it’s comfortable with wide adjustable straps, numerous band hooks for easy removal and very thin smartly engineered sweat wicking material in the cups as well as on the band to reduce that awful ‘post-workout-skin-stick’. I love that notion as that’s my personal belief as well.
