It never fails. Every time I go to a Montréal event where the cocktails are outstanding, the mixologists are always from Le Lab.
Needless to say, I was delighted to see this Québec company expand its brand by launching a Sweet Vermouth and Sirops Artisanals!
Le Lab’s Sweet Vermouth is fan-freaking-tastic.
The flavour reminds me of stewed apples. Hence why I’m going to be serving this libation after meals long into the fall and winter months.
Also: Le Lab has also begun selling their in-house creations of artisinal syrups. Now every home party will have a special hand-crafted touch at the DIY bar!
Currently, Le Lab has 6 sirops artisanals. These syrups truly have the hand-crafted touch, which presents itself in the flavour department:
- Gingembre Infernal (Ginger, Cayenne)
- Grenadine Vintage (Zero food colouring – made with Pomegranate Juice!)
- BBQ Tropical (Pineapple, Tamarind, Hickory, Spices)
- Orgeade (Almond Milk, Almonds, Orange Blossom)
- Tonique Ancestral (Quinine, Spices)
- Sirop Simple (Cane Sugar)
Even though I was a bartender in the past, my wine bottle opening skills pale in comparison to my significant other’s experience as a mixologist at a 5-star resort.
He gets full credit for this Spicy Gingered Rose Apple-tini:
2 oz Le Lab Sweet Vermouth
1 oz Vodka
1/4 oz Gingembre Infernal
3 Rose Petals
Slice Granny Smith Apple
Ice
1.Ice in the martini glass to chill.
2.Ice in martini shaker. Add 1 rose petal, alcohol and sirop.
3.Shake what your mama gave ya.
4.Empty martini glass. Rub rose petal on interior and rim.
5.Strain into chilled/rose-essenced glass. Garnish with Apple Slice and Rose Petals.
6.Enjoy!
Pssst: Le Lab Sweet Vermouth is just as delicious served neat. Plus, the sirops are fantastic with sparkling water.
I adore 1/8 oz Grenadine Vintage with 1/8 oz Gingembre Infernal in an 8oz perrier accompanied by a slice of lime. Spicy and Sweet!
I cannot wait for the rest of Canada to sample the hand-crafted quality of Le Lab.
Tasting the Sweet Vermouth and Sirops Artisanals are the next best thing to visiting the cocktail bar itself. Santé!
Bisous,
