Fall Skin Brighteners

November 26, 2018

I don’t know about you but all I want is dewy, glowy, healthy looking skin. And world peace. These products might not bring world peace, but they will brighten that skin of yours making you look like the most radiant version of yourself.

I am serious about testing products before I recommend them to you – I test every product for at least 6 weeks and only share with you products I trust and would pay for myself. I know how hard you werk for that money, girl – so put your trust in me.

First – Pixi’s Glow Tonic.

Found at Shoppers’ this tonic has become a cult classic for good reason. This is my second bottle – I loved it so much I needed to have it again. Not only does it gently exfoliate your skin with Glycolic Acid, it has aloe vera in it to hydrate and soothe. The Ginseng improves circulation and it’s alcohol free, so doesn’t dry you out.

I use it at night after cleansing, before my serum. Priced right, this gem accelerates cell renewal, giving you that fresh, glowing angel-baby skin. It also does not irritate my skin (and I have the most sensitive skin around). Trust me – it’s a really great product.

Next – a splurge – Omorovicza’s Acid Fix

I can’t get over how amazing this skin care line is. I talk about it all the time. From their Magic Moisture Mist to Skin Perfector – I use at least one of their products every day. Not only do they all smell amazing and are packaged beautifully, they work like magic.

I was recently sent their Acid Fix – released in February it is newer to the market but I have been hearing rave reviews, so was excited to try it. Two small drops will cover your whole face and leave your skin feeling soft, and smooth. Omorovicza’s Acid Fix not only acts like an exfoliator, it gently peels, plumps and brightens the skin. With a blend of AHA/BHAs it works to reverse damage caused by pollution, acne and sun.

Korres Wild Rose Spotless Serum – 15% Vitamin C

I am a big fan of Korres products. Their Greek Yoghurt line is still one of my favourites. Made in Greece, I appreciate the incorporation of natural ingredients with scientific innovation. Korres’ Wild Rose Spotless Serum is newer to the market and packs a powerful brightening punch with 15% vitamin C.

It is a bi-phase serum, meaning the top oil phase is made of wild rose oil with 15% vitamin C, while the bottom water phase is a powerful brightening complex that helps to reduce the appearance of skin discolouration. You shake the layers together before applying to your skin. It smells lovely (which is a rarity for products with Vitamin C) and absorbs quickly into the skin.

REVERSA Radiance-C Concentrate – 20% pure vitamin C

I love supporting Canadian companies, and REVERSA is not only Canadian, but vegan and cruelty-free. A brand rooted in pharmaceuticals, it was developed for consumers and dermatologists. Their Radiance-C Concentrate toutes it’s ‘antioxidant superpowers’ because the use of pure vitamin C helps prevent and reverse sun damage, brightens the skin tone and skin’s radiance.

Radiance-C is also created with vitamin E, shea butter, and hyaluronic acid. It stays stable throughout its lifespan as it is waterless formula. I recommend using this product 2-3 times per week, and if you use it during the day, make sure you’re slathering up in SPF. It is lightweight and leaves my skin tingling…looking plump and bright in the morning.
