New York, April 18, 2013… The most prestigious party of the year!
Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball and my invite?! Lost in the mail!
The night where NYC is decked out in sparkles, Rockefeller Center turns into a big blue box and the Empire State Building lights up ‘Tiffany’ Blue.
It’s the release of their Annual Blue Book. “A triumph of design and artistry that features the most spectacular jewels in the world.” And an evening where all of the exclusive, one of a kind, handcrafted pieces are on display.
The night’s invite is so exclusive that only 350 guests, from around the world, are invited.
Carey Mulligan & Baz Luhrmann
This is a party I would beg to cater-waiter at!
But, like the sweet angels that they are, my friends from Tiffany & Co. wanted me to feel included too… So last night they hired a couple of guards and flew in a few pieces from the Blue Book collection for me to view!
With 80-90% of the collection already sold to passionate collectors, I was thrilled to be able to hold and play with 3 stunning pieces.
And I may or may not have attempted to put this intricately encrusted diamond bracelet in my pocket.
But I was here for the rings… and the food!
And as I snacked on some pretty incredible caviar topped canapé a sparkle so big caught my eye and I was momentarily blinded!
It was the bling of all rings.
My eyes quickly welled up and I floated towards it as if I were in a trance. I had never seen a bauble so big, so clear and with so much sparkle.
Now I have no idea how many carats were in this dazzler, but priced at $737,500.00, I am certain it contained enough to feed all the bunnies in the world!
As I continued to swirl around the room like a bride on her big day, I sipped champagne, nibbled on chocolate covered strawberries and dreamt of the day that I might be one of the lucky 350 in NYC!
There is something to be said about Tiffany & Co.’s timeless and classic luxury; and although I am only in the tax bracket which is able to afford their silver, wearing it still makes me feel like a millionaire!
Thank you Tiffany & Co. for always making me feel so special!
You’re sparkling eyed baby,
Mr. Fab lue book
