Unveiling the Canadian Charm of Annabelle Cosmetics
When did concealer start to cost $38? When I take my weekly cruise around the aisles of Shoppers, I find myself in shock at how, even drug store beauty brands prices have gone bananas. But there is one brand, one Canadian brand that is still offering great value while creating some of my most favourite go-to products. Annabelle Cosmetics is a brand I wish I’d discovered sooner – their products are on-trend, totally wearable, high-quality and affordable.
I also love what this brand stands for – “self-expression, empowering everyone, everywhere, to experiment and play with their look, and embrace their true authentic selves“.
Here are four of my must-haves I know you will love:
1. The Biggy Bronzer: One swirl does it all | $14
Annabelle Cosmetics is all about enhancing your natural beauty and letting your inner sparkle shine through. Their Biggy Bronzer collection is a product I know I will always use. They are that good.
Biggy Bronzers are a combination of a bronzer, blush, and highlighter all-in-one. Seriously – one sweep across this palette and there is no need for three separate products. It does a perfect job of giving my skin a glowy, naturally bronzed look. And it wears so well all day – no need for touch-ups. My favourite shade is their, Haute Gold, but their, Trio Gold, is also great as it has a lovely pinky blush shade incorporated.
2. Annabelle Cosmetics The Skinny Mascara | $11
My first impression of this mascara’s teeny tiny wand was – ‘no way’. No way would this wildly tiny wand do anything but make my lashes a clumpy mess. How wrong I was. Anabelle’s Skinny Mascara’s high-precision wand grabs and captures every single lash. Lashes I didn’t know I had. It really does such a great job of making my lashes look longer, thicker and fuller. The carnauba extract to softens lashes and prevents flaking – so no flakes, no marks and the wand makes applying mascara to the top or bottom lashes neat and tidy.
3. Annabelle Costmetics Perfect Fit Ulta-Hydrating Concealer | $12
This is a brand new Annabelle release! The Perfect Fit Ultra-Hydrating Concealer is hydrating while reducing the appearance of dark circles and giving off that perfect no-makeup makeup look. It hydrates through the incorporation of 1% hyaluronic acid. It also has added skincare ingredients like Niacinamide, Caffeine, and Vitamin E. I like it because it’s buildable, it doesn’t cake and has a really nice finish that looks like my natural skin…but elevated. The bummer is it only comes in four shades right now – but hopefully they expand their shade range.
3. Annabelle Cosmetics Kohl Pencil Liners | $5.50
Rated Canada’s top selling Kohl liner, the Annabelle Kohl Liners come in every colour you could ever want…and in the metallic, matte, and satin versions of that colour. The colour range is incredible but so is the wearability.
I think the pencils are excellent for blending, or adding bold statements to everyday eye looks. I love to pair a neutral shadow with a stroke of a metallic kohl liner in a shade like, Sparkling Blue. These liners are amazing year-round…but for getting creative at Halloween – hands-down the best.
There are so many other products I really like – like the Perfect Blushes and Perfect Highlight Powders – the packaging makes them perfect to travel with. I also am really enjoying the Perfect Butter Bronzers – a 1/2 price dupe for…well, you know the brand.
