Spring skincare. Two of my favourite words, combined. There are so many new brands, new products, new collections on the market so I wanted to simplify your options; presenting you a three-part series of the best new Spring skincare collections for every budget.
First, a female-owned, Canadian brand, Maison Jacynthe.
Founded by actress, best-selling author, and entrepreneur, Jacynthe René – the Maison Jacynthe skincare collection is soooo luxurious.
Super popular in Quebec and France, this line launched in 2014 and incorporates ingredients so pure you can eat them. But, you don’t want to waste these lux gems doing that – I can confidently tell you, these are some of the most incredible smelling products I’ve ever tried. And they are made, right here in Canada.
Absolute trust in her experts to use the very best ingredients has set a gold standard. The collection uses the same pure essential oils found in luxury brands like Chanel and Guerlain.
Her skincare collection is large, but to make it simple – Jacynthe has shared her four-step routine for perfectly balanced Spring skin.
First step, the Huile Nettoyante | $32.50
This cleansing oil combines jojoba, apricot, sea buck-thorn, rose geranium and sandalwood oils. Just take a moment to imagine how amazing that smells, now multiply that by two.
Easy to use, just pipette the oil into your palms, warm it up then apply to your dry face. Use a warm, damp washcloth to remove. Easy! Tested on all skin types, this cleansing oil claims to be great for sensitive skin and those with acne.
Next step, the Eau Florale de Rose | $23
The smell! No added fragrance, as the Bulgarian rose water does it all. Just lightly mist this rose water on to your face and press it in gently with the palms of your hands. Voila. This will help the absorption of your serum and can be misted over top your finished makeup look to add some radiance.
Her third step, the Sublimateur |$38
We all know and love Hyaluronic acid. It is commonly used as an ingredient in beauty products because of its moisturizing, plumping and youthful glow-giving properties. Maison Jacynthe has created this, Sublimateur moisture booster to refresh and hydrate the skin while improving its appearance. In a divine-smelling orange floral water base, one pump is suitable for all skin types – moisturizing before the finishing serum.
The final step, the Sérum Jasmin Rose |$98
Finish off your routine with this incredible smelling, Sérum Jasmin Rose. A few drops will lock in the H.A of the Sublimateur, while nourishing, soothing, softening, toning, and improving the elasticity of the skin.
Have you tried this brand before? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
