New CeraVe Spring 2022 releases

CeraVe is such a trusted, well-rounded brand. Especially for folks like me with notoriously sensitive skin. So when I was invited to attend the CeraVe Spring 2022 releases webinar, I was so curious to see what else they’d be releasing.

CeraVe chooses to be a brand that is for all and they work with Dermatologists and consumers to understand every skin type, and their newest releases really reflect that scope and diversity.

Their first new CeraVe Spring 2022 release is the Acne Foaming Cleanser | $19.99

CeraVe Acne Foaming cleanser

This new Acne Foaming Cleanser from CeraVe helps reduce acne without drying or flaking. The formula contains Hyaluronic Acid (to increase suppleness), Niacinamide (to help calm the skin), and three essential ceramides which help to restore and maintain the skin carrier. It also contains 4% of the powerhouse, Benzoyl Peroxide Gel (BPO).

What is Benzoyl Peroxide Gel?

Benzoyl Peroxide Gel helps reduce acne without the drying and flaking you can sometimes experience with other acne-targeted products. It works to clear acne while preventing new acne pimples from forming. BPO is recommended for treating mild to moderate acne as it has antimicrobial properties as well as exfoliating properties.

Keep in mind if you are using the new CeraVe Acne Foaming Cleanser, ensuring daily sunscreen is an essential part of this routine. Also note, with any efficacious product, it is important to start off slow – it’s recommended to start using this cleanser on alternating days before you build up and in 8-12 weeks you’ll see the benefits.

CeraVe’s new Resurfacing Retinol Serum | $26.99

CeraVe Resurfacing retinol serum

The new CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum is something I’ve been using now for over a month and am loving. It’s a perfect complement to the acne wash as it contains the power to help reduce post-acne marks.

This fragrance-free, Dermatologist-approved formula contains three essential ceramides, Niacinamide, CeraVe’s patented MVE Technology and encapsulated retinol.

MVE technology is a controlled release system for all-day hydration and the encapsulated retinol is really the hero ingredient. Encapsulated retinol has high tolerability – meaning even sensitive skin folks can often use with no issues. It helps resurface the skin, reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and helps reduce the looks of fine lines and wrinkles.

Remember, when using an sort of retinol – please please ensure you are using an SPF. And if you do have sensitive skin, start using this product very slowly and adjust accordingly. I use it twice per week.

What else is new at CeraVe? Well, CeraVe has released their best-selling The Moisturizing Lotion in a family size.
