2022 is shaping up to be a banner year for new releases. So many fab products…so little time! But, a brand I always have time for is Pureology. And they did not disappoint! The 2022 Pureology releases are all 100% vegan, cruelty free and are giving my tired, winter hair LIFE! Can I get a hallelujah?!
Pureology is a brand born in the California sunshine, 22 years ago with the goal of creating the best colour care products with the purest formulas possible. I love that each of their bottles of shampoo and conditioner hold over 75 applications of paraben and mineral oil-free, professional-standard colour care, without compromise. Their anti-fade complex is really what sets their products apart from the pack – it offers the ultimate colour protection for your hair through a patented ingredient blend incorporating the never fading, sunflower! Pureology focuses on performance…as well as experience. Their signature aromatherapies are exceptional. I want to sniff my hair all day, it smells so lux.

The Pureology Color Fantatic Multi-tasking leave-in spray is, hands-down, my new go-to product. Not only does it prime, protect, and perfect my hair, it reduces hair drying time, creates softness and adds incredible shine by nourishing right to the ends of your hair follicle.
The smell is standard Pureology – AMAZING – fresh and floral with rose and floral ginger mixed with cedar-wood for an oh so sexy scent. It’s also marvellously lightweight, which, for me is important as my fine hair does not play well with heavy leave-ins. But trust me, this Purelogy Color Fantatic will not weigh your hair down. It leaves it bouncy, shiny, and well protected.

Two new shades join the Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Purple, which, released last year, is a huge hit – neutralizing brassy yellow tones in light to medium blonde shades and leaving hair with a high-gloss, salon-quality finish.
The two new shades to join the Purple, are the Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Blue and Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Clear.
What are toning glosses, you ask? I got you…
Toning glosses help maintain that salon-quality hair, adding shine, softness and manageability. These at-home, in-shower, high-shine toning glosses from Pureology use oat milk and camellia oil – lightweight moisture to smooth your hair. Used in the shower on damp hair, they are super easy to apply (just apply from root to tip in a zig zag and comb through – leaving for 5-10 minutes) and their effects last 6-8 washes.
Pureology’s Color Fanatic Top Coat + Tone Blue
The Blue is great to neutralize any unwanted orange tones in the hair for up to 6-8 washes. This shade is ideal for dark blondes or pre-lightened brunettes. It leaves your hair silky, shiny, and brass-free!
