Hip hip hooray – it’s my birthday (week). I thought you might like this picture of little me blowing out candles while gripping my new Barbie draped in a ribbon. That picture summarizes my forever birthday mood – I love a birthday party! And it has become tradition I use this time each year to celebrate YOU! Another lap around the sun and each year I am more grateful than the last and you, dear reader, have so much to do with that! Your enthusiasm for our content and desire to keep learning about beauty is what fuels me – so this year I am hosting two days of birthday giveaways.
The first giveaway is all about inclusive, accessible luxury. It’s about Canadian-made, Toronto-based, female-founded, Graydon Skincare.
Created by Graydon Moffat, she started her passion for health and wellness as a Chef – more specifically, a super-food mixologist. This work inspired her plant-powered skincare line – Graydon. All her formulas contain plant-based, results-driven ingredients which have been dermatologist and clinically tested, are hypoallergenic, and cruelty-free.
Having accessible products are important for the brand. All products are hard-working multitaskers that suit every skin type. What I also love about this brand (as I turn another year older), is it’s pro-aging. Her products are not pro ‘anti-aging’ – they are all about feeling good in the skin you’re in and really just embracing what makes you feel good.
I was gifted a range of Graydon Skincare products to sample and really enjoyed using so many of them. Even on my extremely sensitive skin, they are gentle and effective. All of her product’s aromas come from natural aromatic fruit extracts, not essential oils – which I find is key for sensitive skin folks like myself.
For my birthday’s two days of giveaways, I’ve partnered with Graydon to give away three of my favourite products I know you will love as much as I do.
Graydon Face Glow – A tinted moisturizing skin primer | $46
I barely wear foundation anymore – for me it’s all about a good tinted moisturizer and SPF. The Graydon Face Glow has become a go-to for me as it acts like a primer, illuminator (giving my skin a lovely dewy glow from its ethically-sourced and mineral-rich, mica), and a moisturizer. Three cheers for multitaskers!

Graydon Berry Rich probiotic rich face and eye cream | $49
As my skin ages and becomes more sensitive, I always look for ways to simplify my routine while still efficaciously adding impact. The Berry Rich face and eye cream again is another great multitasker from Graydon. It’s a 2-in-1 that is perfect for nighttime use but can also be used in the day.
The unique blue shade of the cream is fun and comes from the blueberry seed oil this formula contains. Blueberry seed oil helps dehydrated skin and protects from blue light exposure. The texture is rich and smooth thanks to the cocoa butter, but it sinks into the skin leaving it feeling comforted and protected.
Helping reinforce skin barrier function, this hydrating cream also boost skin radiance through its incorporation of vegan probiotics. The cream also incorporates blue-green algae is rich in minerals and amino acids.
Graydon Moon Boost Serum – a hydrating vitamin serum | $89
Moon Boost Serum is a dry oil that again is a great multitasker. This luxuriously smooth serum hydrates while packing your skin with vitamins.
This serum reduces the signs of visible aging with the Vitamin A from carrot seed oil, it locks in moisture with vitamin B5, it boosts radiance and evens out skin tone with vitamin C, and helps revitalize tired skin with the vitamin D from shiitake mushrooms.
What I like to do, once I’ve pressed this into my face and neck, is use any excess on the ends of my hair to smooth flyaways.
