Halloween is one of my favorite times of year.
The sugary snacks, the spooky decor and who doesn’t love a good reason to dress up
With the ghostly spirits beginning to stir, here are three ideas that will have you Halloween ready in a hurry
1. Halloween Table Decor
Whenever Im in the need of seasonal inspiration and decor I always hit up Homesense.
And although I missed the boat on the bulk of this years Halloween decor, I was able to mix and match some other great finds into a trend worthy tablescape by thinking outside the box.
When looking for serving platters I always like to start my search in the bathroom section.
Items like this medium sized vanity stand can be used like a tiered cake stand to house sweet and savoury snacks or even cocktail ingredients like lemons, limes and martini olives.
2. Thrifty DIY Costumes
A pair of great lashes can exaggerate a look and add a little wow factor to any costume.
For fans of Clockwork Orange, it’s easy to replicate its lead character/narrator using closet staples, a $3 bowler hat from the dollar store and a solo Faux Mink Demi Whispie from Ardell Beauty; the perfect feather lash to complete this iconic look.
I’ve seen this look replicated by an entire family, including their baby, and is still to date one of the most memorable group looks I’ve seen.
3. Spooky Snacks
For those who like to Pinterest and spend hours in the kitchen, I applaud you. But when it comes to sugary confections I leave it to the pros.
This Halloween a few unique and creative options have just been released by a couple of my favorite companies.
Ollia Macaron, known for their exquisite French treats have just launched a Black Candy Apple dipped in crushed purple macaron shells.
A moody and delicious treat that is sure to impress your family and friend.
Now if you’re a doughnut Connoisseur like myself, Ritual Doughnuts offers THE BEST I’ve ever had.
This Halloween they have created six new offerings that have me salivating like a werwolf.
Bloody Brain, Worms in Dirt, Monster Eyeball, Halloween Candy, Screamcicle Ghost, Chocolate Peanut butter Cup and Bloody Brain; A Strawberry jam filled doughnut, topped with a strawberry buttercream brain and sprinkled with fake edible blood on top.
Time to get in the ‘spirit’ and celebrate this seasons most ghoulish holiday.
