The A-OXitive Collection from Eau Thermale Avène is Chef’s Kiss. It is perfection. It is the type of skincare collection I recommend enthusiastically to all my friends. I used this collection twice daily for two months and experienced incredible results.
Here’s why the A-OXitive Collection from Eau Thermale Avène was a show-stopper for my skin.
The A-OXitive collection has an ‘exclusive technology’, boosting your skin’s defense against environmental and lifestyle stressors with powerful antioxidant efficacy. It neutralizes free radicals and helps prevent signs of aging – leaving skin smooth, plump and glowy.
What is the ‘exclusive’ technology, you wonder? Essentially Vitamin C and E:
- Ascorbyl glucoside (or vitamin C) helps support collagen and brighten the skin, while remaining gentle enough for sensitive skin.
- Pre-tocopheryl (or vitamin E) 40x more powerful than pure Vitamin E, provides a shield against oxidative stress
Here was my routine for two months:
After rinsing my face in the morning, I applied the A-OXitive antioxidant defence serum. ($50)
This is a super fast absorbing serum that is packed with hyaluronic acid to boost hydration level and plump the skin, and the serum provides the equivalent protection to a product that contains 15% Vitamin C. Besides loving what is inside the tube…I love the tube. It is airless – meaning there is nothing tampering with the efficacy of the product.
Once I applied the plumping defense serum, I use the A-OXitive Antioxidant Water-Cream. ($48)
This light-weight water-cream is enhanced with mother-of-pearl to boost radiance and has a complex of time-released Vitamin C and E to protect the skin. It wears incredibly well under a full face of make-up, or on its own.
I can always tell immediately if I like an eye cream or not. For me, they must be light-weight, absorb almost immediately, and wear well with makeup. This one was an instant hit. The A-OXitive Smoothing Eye Contour Cream. ($42.50)
I tap a small amount (half a pump) of the contour cream under my eyes, under my brows, and across the upper bridge of my nose. I always use the remainder around my lips (as that skin is very similar to the delicate skin around your eyes). Formulated with ingredients like Retinaldehyde, this eye cream “encourages cellular productivity, and ultimately evens out skin texture and complexion irregularities”. I love it.
I always put on a broad-spectrum SPF on my face as my last step. Always.
For nighttime, once I wash my face, I apply the plumping defense serum, then the A-Oxitive Peeling Cream. ($50)
I have very sensitive skin, so the notion of a peeling cream that was made for sensitive skin had me very excited. And I still am! I recommend this to everyone! It is legitimately a phenomenal product. My skin started looking noticeably glowier within the first two weeks. It is said, within 8 weeks of daily use, you see results equivalent to 3 sessions of peeling treatments at a spa. And I believe it! The combo of Vitamin E for targeting fine lines, and the fatty acids in primrose oil leave skin looking lit from within.
And that is the collection! It is really all you need (outside of a cleanser…which you can read about my favourites, here.)

I got the peeling cream from the line, is ir supposed to be kind of a yellowish color? I was surprised about that
👍
You got it! It’s thick and yellow – best to pump on your hand and warm it up before applying
Do you have any trepidation about using this eye cream during the day? It says right on it not to – so I’m nervous!
Great question! I use it during the day and night but ensure I use a high SPF over top during the day. If you are finding sensitivity, just stick with nighttime 🙂
A great alternative daytime eye cream from Avène is their Dermabsolu Youth Eye Cream!
