My idea of a perfect day will always include a good movie and a great meal… While any other fun and games are bonus add ons.
So recently when The Rec Room invited me for dinner to take advantage of their newest promotional offering that includes a meal AND movie, I jumped at the opportunity!
Right now, until March 31, every time you dine in their restaurant – Three10 – between Sunday to Thursday, you’ll be gifted a set of Cineplex Movie Tickets if your bill (excluding drinks, tax and tip) hits $55.00.
An easy task to complete when their food is so delicious!
So what did I eat that sent me to Isn’t it Romantic starring Rebel Wilson?
For starters, before the starter, The Rec Room included a bag of popcorn to snack on as I perused the menu and when it was time to dive in, here’s what I ordered:
Appetizers:
I will never pass up devilled eggs on any menu, so Three10’s beet stained egg with crispy kale and chives (7$) were an obvious choice – but I didn’t stop there!
To hedge my bets on getting the majority of the devilled eggs, I distracted the table with an order of Crispy Chicken Bites smothered in a house-made buffalo sauce with a blue cheese crema. ($15)
After inhaling the eggs and chicken bites like Tic Tacs, it was time to move onto the mains.
Mains:
While my date ordered the hand breaded Fried Chicken Sandwich with soleggiati tomatoes, romaine, grand padano, house caesar dressing on a brioche bun ($17), I ordered something a bit more uniquely risky.
The Salmon Avocado ‘Sandwich’ served on wood grilled pita and topped with pickled onion, arugula and preserved lemon yogurt ($17).
And with that, the total of our bill had reached the $55 mark and the set of Cineplex movie tickets were bestowed upon us!
The Movie & Meal deal was ours!
