Over the next 2 days, December 6th & 7th, a pretty exceptional one-of-a-kind pop-up will be open at Holt Renfrew Calgary in their H Project Shop.
Eighty Seventh St. and Artist Monica Smiley will be on-site illustrating colour portraits and printing faces for customized stationary!
Today I had the opportunity to sit in front of Monica for this one-of-a-kind experience.
The sitting takes approximately 30 minutes and during that time she’s able to review her sketch with you to make sure you’re happy with your performance.
Then it’s off to the on-site Make Lab Studio tech who formats the image with optional name into a file ready to print.
And with a touch of a button, Viola…
Stationary!
The cost of the portrait sitting is $50 per person and she’s also able to work off photos to sketch partners or pets.
For note cards $25 will get you 12, or you can load up with 24 for $45.
But that’s not all…
A few weeks later, you can expect an email from Monica with your very own electronic file version as well.
