I’m a fan of cocktail-ling, (who isn’t ?), and while a wide array are mixed up for my guests on any given weekend, the one cocktail that gets made most often is the Negroni.
- 1 oz. London dry gin
- 1 oz. Campari
- 1 oz. vermouth rosso
- cocktail glass
Not only is it super simple to make, it’s delicious! And if you add a sphere ice cube and a orange peel twist your guests will be in applauding your mad skills!
Knowing my love for this classic cocktail my friends at Campari sent me a really unique surprise with an under cover agent feel!
A Campari Red Diary with a bottle of the good stuff included in the package.
Inside the Diary, a digital player screening Killer in Red, Campari’s newest short film written by Paolo Sorrentino, staring the globally-acclaimed actor Clive Owen.
And it’s ahhhhhhh-mazing!
The film noir takes us on a journey with a bartender named Floyd who creates personality driven cocktails to match his clientele.
This story in particular follows the path of the ‘Killer in Red‘ and much like the cocktail, this story is one part sweet and one part bitter!
Killer in Red:
- 2.25 cl. Campari
- 2.25 cl. Cinzano
- 1757 Vermouth Bianco
- 1.5 cl. Grand Marnier
- 2.25 cl. Chamomille infused gin,
- 1 drop of rose essence.
While this film ignites the Campari Red Diaries journey, it will be flanked and complemented by a collection of 12 future cocktail stories which will bring to life the artsy and flair of 14 bartenders and introduce viewers to the magic behind their Campari cocktail creations!
I’ve secretly seen a few of the upcoming cocktail recipes including that of Julie Reiner and her Kula Negroni.
And as every cocktail has a story to tell I’m most looking forward to hearing hers!
It’ll be a year of new, creative sipping and I can hardly wait!
