Over the last 7 seasons of shows during New York Fashion Week I’ve been to hundreds of runway shows, presentation, showrooms and parties… but this morning I celebrated a new first!
Backstage at the Nicholas K runway show with my friends from Stila Cosmetics!
And it was a complete ‘Pinch Me’ moment!
There were rows of talented artists creating the perfect looks in a bustling backstage room that’s temperature easily topped 40 degrees Celsius (104 for my American readers)!
My face literally ‘glowing’ more then it’s ever ‘glowed’ before from the heat did not even faze the artist nor the models they were working on.
The look for Nicholas K was titled Golden Reble and was the brain child of lead make up artist and stunning 17year Stila Cosmetics veteran Sarah Lucero.
For the look she started by using some of her favourite must have classics like the Stay All Day Water Proof Brow Color to create the perfect feathered brow.
(Sarah’s Pro Tip: “I always use two colours to get an ombré look. Use a lighter color on the front of your brow and finish the thinner end in a darker.”)
And then showed us what the ‘look’ was all about by finishing the eyes, debuting Stila’s newest product Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Gold Goddess.
This was indeed a Golden Rebel!
As the team kept working I stood back and watched. After years of wondering what being backstage would be like the moment had happened.
