When I was young, school report card days were important. Get good marks and you were rewarded with a trip to McDonald’s.
There was no better motivator for me as a kid to succeed!!
So last night when I was invited to McDonald’s to try a new product and service launch – only available in Canada – I felt like I had just received straight A’s!
Haven’t you always wanted to have access to everything in the McDonald’s kitchen to customize the burger of your dreams!? Well that day is finally here!
Whether you’re trying to recreate past menu items like one of my old favourites the ‘Big Xtra’ or you want to design something new, the choice is all your’s with the touch of a button.
And because playing chef takes time, the service is only available in-store at their new kiosks.
McDonald’s has added nearly 30 item options to the Create Your Taste menu.
Not only can you choose from classic menu items like Mac Sauce, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes; You can add new menu offerings like Crispy Onions, Sundried Tomato Pesto, Jalapeños, Blue Cheese, Guacamole and Grilled Mushrooms to name a few…
And don’t even get me started on the 9 sauce options that are also available!
So what was my Taste?
A Lettuce Wrapped 100% Canadian Angus Patty stuffed with Tomato, Guacamole, double the Bacon and a dollop of Garlic Aioli.
A fresh California style burger with a side of cheesy poutine (also a Canadian exclusive!)
But I wasn’t the only one eating…
My editor opted to style his Angus Patty using a Black & White Sesame Seed Bun topped with Pickles, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Bacon, Monterey Jack Cheese, Sriracha Sauce, Chipotle Aioli and Crispy Onions!
All sorts of delicious tastes with a basket of fries on the side!
And there are more perks when you Create Your Taste.
Table side service!
After you hit submit and pay, take your seat and the McDonald’s team takes care of the rest!
From drink refills to extra napkins (they even clean up after you!), this service has certainly elevated the way you dine.
And if you’ve saved room for dessert…
McDonald’s also has added several new bakery items to its McCafe menu.
Gluten Free Brownies with Chocolate Chunks, Lemon Loaf, Blueberry Cheese Danish & even a Mini Pain au Chocolat.
And yes I ate them all!
McDonald’s… You’ve always made my day; From kindergarten ’till now, I’ve always found my perfect taste with you!
