When I was a kid, my closet was filled with Lacoste.
Colourful stripped polos and brown corduroy pants were my daily uniform.
I can still hear the sounds of my thighs “zip zip zip-ing” down the halls of my elementary school. And when I returned home after a long day of grade 2 learning, I’d comfortably don my favourite velvet Lacoste track suit!
I was one stylish 7 year old.
And this year, on the runways of NYC, Lacoste showed a Fall/Winter 2016 collection that will be bringing back the Crocodile of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s!
From the 60’s, the elegance of a retro futuristic ski resort.
From the 70s, original advertising messages such “100% Croco” are back and take over the fronts of the sweaters.
And from the 80s, video game inspired embroideries of pixellated pine trees & skiers playfully run down the length of women’s poncho dresses & track suits.
Sitting in seat section H-5-6, I was transformed to a time where my love of the brand was endless.
Fashion was comfortable and easy back then.
I’m so excited to get back into the the brand I adored as a 7 year old.
Fall/Winter 2016 is a dream come true, thanks for bringing back what I LOVED!
