During NYFW, there are numerous ways designers show their collections.
Runway, showrooms and presentations.
This year JCrew, Alice & Olivia and Jay Godfrey chose the later method to showcase their S/S16 collections.
So what does an invite to one of these presentations look like?
Once the models are dressed, the doors open and a crowd fills the studio.
And then for the next (typically) 1 hour… Editors, buyers, bloggers, friends and clients jockey for positions to get a closer look.
This season at the Jay Godfrey show all the models wore white. The collection was crisp and clean.
There were dresses, rompers, fitted overcoats, cutouts and wide legged trousers.
A perfect look for everyone.
And once you’ve snapped all your shots, it’s time to move aside and let others in.
