After a lengthy stay in NYC for Fashion Week, I arrived back in Canada excited to share what I saw.
3 clear trends emerged on the majority of the runways, and I was thrilled to recreate them for my friend Tara Slone and her loyal morning viewers at CITY TV’s Breakfast Television.
The time was 7:45am, and with the models decked out in the new line of jewelry: T by Tiffany & Co. I was counted in!
In 3….2….1…. You’re live!
Whites with Mixed Metallics
Who says you can’t wear white after Labour Day? No really, where did that even come from!
White is always in our wardrobe, but mixing a variety of mixed metals like gold or silver really helps add texture and dimension to a look.
Pastel on Pastel
It’ll be a soft summer with a blend of pastels hitting the stores. Light pinks, sheer blues and creamy purples will be the main pallets.
But if looking like an unidentified baby’s room isn’t your look, try mixing different hues in the same colour (like the shoes and jumper pictured below) or include temporary pieces that are removable, like the jacket.
Barely There Black
Spring/Summer 15 will see boxy shoulders and oversized outerwear, but what’s underneath will be barely there.
Angular lines with lace, punched leather, cutouts and sheer overlays will leave less to the imagination.
Not ready to bare all? Toss on your leather bomber to keep the edge.
I shopped Chinook Centre for these 3 trends that include great transitional items which you can start wearing now… Then mix them forward into your S/S15 wardrobe.
Hope you are as excited about what’s to come as I am!
Here’s the clip in case you missed it!
