If you’ve never heard of Lukes Drug Mart in Bridgeland, all you have to do is take a peek on social media. The Community Mini Mart seems to be all the craze lately, filling my feed with accolades from my Twitter friends.
So yesterday afternoon I decided to pay a little visit to the small community’s most raved about business to see what all the fuss was about.
Lukes Drug Mart combines all the necessities of a larger chain drug store, including pharmacy and post office, but with a surprising twist:

All the ‘noise’ I had heard about Lukes was true, and I too ended up walking away with a sack full of goodies I most likely would have never found anywhere else in the city!
Here are my 3 top finds from my shopping excursion yesterday.
McClure’s Garlic Pickles from Brooklyn, NY ($9.99).
At $10 a jar I was a little hesitant about the purchase, but the crunchy and perfectly brined pickles were well worth the elevated price point… And the Brooklyn connection had me feeling Sex in the City – Miranda style.
Baxter of California Hand Lotion ($19.00).
Smooth and silky, this is the most delightfully feminine hand cream with the sexiest manly smell. Have you ever noticed the shirtless guy BBQing on the balcony in the building across from you?… This is what I imagine he smells like!
Owl’s Brew Coco-Lada (on sale $6.99).
A Blend of Black Tea, Coconut, Chai Spices and Pineapple, this infused tea concentrate is the perfect flavour mix to enhance your next libation. 2 parts brew into 1 part booze and your next cocktail will have a splash of class! It can also doll up your Champers or Beer.
