Last night I was invited to one of my most ‘looked forward to’ events of the year, opening night at CIFF and the Red Carpet Gala.
Who wouldn’t love it; movies, popcorn and good-looking people, I couldn’t ask for more. But without asking, the creative team at CIFF kicked it up a notch. They called on the hottest fad in Calgary, the food trucks, to deliver some delicious eats for the evenings party.
After walking the red carpet and watching the world premier screening of Donovan’s Echo we did a quick strut down the street to the newly built 8th and 8th atrium for a night filled with mingling and Moet. Once again the fabulous team over at Moet and Chandon pitched in as sponsors for the event. Beautiful models were hired, thanks to Sophia Models, and the bubbles were flowing.
Now the greatness of CIFF is far from over. The festival, which will run until October 2nd, will be screening dozens of films each day and for movie and popcorn lovers like myself, ticket packs are available online to help you budget.
And if you weren’t able to get your tickets to the sold-out Opening Gala, don’t worry, CIFF offers 2 more awesome gala’s; The Black Carpet Gala (Sept 30) and the Closing Gala (Oct 1) so get on ticket buying now so you’re not disappointed!
See you there!
