M’s Top Three Beauty Hacks with Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel

March 14, 2019

When you love a product as much as I love Bio-Oil, you want to click your heels with joy when you see they have a brand new product. Their first new product in 30 years.

Bio-Oil has been an iconic brand for treating stretch marks and reducing the appearance of scars…along with hundreds of other uses. If you look up #BioOil on Instagram, you’ll see no shortage of innovative uses for this beloved product.

So when Bio-Oil’s Dry Skin Gel was sent to me before Christmas, I immediately slathered my body in it, quickly realizing the genius of the Dry Skin Gel and have not looked back!

What’s so great about the new Dry Skin Gel? Here’s the high-level down low:

It’s packed with highly effective moisturizing ingredients, specifically formulated for treating dry skin

It’s unique gel-to-oil formula contains humectants and emollients great for soothing skin and allowing for quick absorption with a grease-free finish

Unlike moisturizing creams and lotions that can contain up to 70% water, Bio Oil Dry Skin Gel does not evaporate so you can use way less product to treat your dry skin…trust me, a little goes a long way!

The price is right! Coming in three sizes from ‘bathroom staple’ to ‘on-the-go’ – prices start at just $9.99. Can I get a ‘start the car’?

Now that I’ve extolled the virtues of this new wonder gel, I wanted to share with you three of my out-of-the-box beauty hacks using this fab new product.

Amp up your powder highlighter

Powder highlighter can leave a little to be desired in the ‘wow’ department. If not blended well, it can look flaky and underwhelming. To achieve that J Lo Glow, simply apply a small swipe of dry skin gel to the back of your hand and mix in your powder highlighter. Apply this now ‘highlighting cream’ to your glow zones using a dampened Beauty Blender, or your index finger, and marvel at its transformed impact.

Remove lipstick

Bio oil dry gel

Lipstick can be a problem child when it comes to removal. To help take it off without rubbing your lips right off, pop on a swipe of the Bio Oil Dry Skin Gel, let it sit for a few seconds before easily wiping the shade away with a tissue.

Cuticle Oil alternative

Dark nail colour and short manicured fingers

The key to strong nails is to pay attention to those cuticles! In such dry wintery weather, applying cuticle oil is a must in your beauty routine. Rather than buying a separate oil product, just dab on some Dry Skin Gel and watch your dry claws transform into supple fingers once again. Don’t forget to give those toes some love, too!
