SS17 Lux Eyeshadow Palettes

May 16, 2017

Quality over quantity.

I’ll take a 5 min heart-to-heart over an hour of chatting about the weather, any day.

The same holds true for my approach to make-up. If it’s going on my face, I’ll take good ingredients over fillers, every time. Otherwise, I’d just head to the nearest Crayola aisle and call it a day.

Recently, I’ve come across some classic luxury eyeshadow palettes that I had to share the deets as they’re worth every hard-earned penny for SS17.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance Palette ($55/8.4g product)

Can you say BUTTAH? The formula of this neutral & berry toned palette is crazy good. Incredibly creamy with COLOUR PAY-OUT.

If you haven’t sampled ABH matte eyeshadows before, you are in for a treat. Plus, the Vermeer can double as a highlight in times of need i.e. forgetting to pack ‘essentials’.

11 ultra-mattes. 2 metallics. 1 satin. Bonus: the dual ended brush is handy for gals on the go.
Tartlette In Bloom Clay Palette ($60/18g product)

This neutral palette is what I reach for on a daily basis. So freaking good.

Due to the mix of hues, it can work for both cool and warm skin tones. In a pinch, I’ve even used the shade Activist for my brows.

9 mattes. 3 lustre. Bonus: the oversize mirror is brilliant and doubles for close-up de-Frida-ing.
Charlotte Tilbury Lux Eyeshadow Palette ($66/5.2g product)

Make-up Artist to the stars, Charlotte Tilbury is known for her products for a reason: lovely results.

The easy-to-use eyeshadow quads come in hues for every skin tone. Wear the basics for the office and then jazz it up for cocktails with the pop and smoke shades.

1 shimmer. 1 metallic. 2 satin. Bonus: slips easily into a handbag to take it from your ‘day at the desk’ to ‘drinks on the town’.

All three brands use the ingredient MICA in their formulas, which as you know is my fav because it results in fantastic pigment. Plus, if it’s of any interest or concern, they are all cruelty free companies

If you’re in the market for a luxury eyeshadow palette, consider Anastasia, Tartelette or Charlotte as they’re all top notch product that you’ll be reaching for again and again, even after SS17!

Bisous,
