Welcome to Ontario, Giffard!
Founded in France in 1885, we finally get to savour Giffard liqueurs.
New to the LCBO this summer are two liqueurs I know you will love to sip on the patio or under the Christmas tree. They are chic and bursting with unique flavour.
Though Giffard produces spirits, liqueurs and syrups (from fruit and plant to coffee and tea syrups), only two flavours are currently in store…so check them out!
First is a patio-pleasing liqueur called ‘Lichi-Li’ – a lychee-flavoured delight that is refreshing and not too sweet.
I created the ‘Fablicious Lichi-Li’ cocktail I think you’ll love.
Using a tall cocktail glass filled with ice, add in:
1 oz. dry gin
1 oz Lichi_li
1 tsp simple syrup
1 tsp lime juice
To celebrate the uniqueness of the second liqueur available – the Crème de Violette – I created a super refreshing and totally chic cocktail called the ‘Violette Vixen’:
Using a short cocktail glass, add in:
1 oz Crème de Violette
1 oz vodka
1 tsp simple syrup
1 squeeze of fresh lime juice
Cucumber slices
I love the soft purple hue of this drink – it’s so unique and lightly floral. I can’t get enough of it this summer, so I hope you love it, too!
