Getting Dolled Up for TIFF

September 16, 2015

For eleven days in September, Toronto shines bright.

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) takes over the entire city with glittering celebs, over 300 film screenings, and so much glamour!

Everyone seems to take a little extra time in the morning to comb out the hair and swipe on some lipstick just in case they happen to run into Matt Damon at their local coffee shop.

TIFF is like Christmas to me – the glitz, the glamour, the parties… The new product collections!

From the Nikki Beach x Spoke Club exclusive White Party on opening night to the #REVtheRedCarpet Beauty Lounge, here are some beauty highlights you can count that the stars will all get a taste of this TIFF.

1) The new REVLON Orofluido Collection

With a CND Nail Bar, American Crew Grooming Station and Revlon Professional Beauty Bar, there was so much going on in this exclusive lounge.

After getting my hair done by the talented Revlon Professional Canada team, they gave me a sneak peek look at their Orofluido Collection.

Released to give frizz control, elasticity and smoothness, these products are packed with anti-aging Tsubaki Oil, strengthening Bamboo extract and smoothing Rice oil. They smell amazing and for a girl living in hot and humid Toronto – they are exactly what the red carpet ordered.

2) The new Rodial Bee Venom Collection

The amazing team at OverCat Communications hosts one of the most exclusive and drool-worthy TIFF media lounges every year in the historic Burroughes Building.

This year’s event had Marc Jacob’s new ‘Decadence’ perfume, the amazing new stila cosmetics collection, Ceramic Glaze’s latest colours applied by the amazing Tips Nail Bar, as well as Rodial’s new ‘Bee Venom’ collection.

An ‘extreme performance’ collection, this is your ultimate anti-ageing treatment line.

With plant extracts that promote skin elasticity and bee venom that helps plump and smooth skin, I love how glowy and smooth my skin feels just after a couple days using their Bee Venom Super Serum. Dakota Fanning, watch out;)

3) American Crew turns 20

Emerging from the ashes of the anti-grooming ‘grunge era’, American Crew Founder David Raccuglia predicted men would return to grooming… And when they did, these now older and more refined gents would want their own collection of products, specifically tailored for men.

From the packaging to the smell, I have always loved these products and was happy to see their new daily shampoo formula has been released to celebrate this milestone. I know all the dapper celebs here for TIFF will enjoy such a dapper product.

As we near the close of this year’s festival, I can’t wait to tell you about more products and TIFF experiences, so follow along with me on Twitter and Instagram @immfab .
