The ‘Luxe’ Treatment at PARKLUXE

October 9, 2014

I love attending fashion shows.
Front row, back row and even standing room… I’ve experienced it all.

Regardless of my vantage point, I’m just happy to be in attendance.

That being said, there are perks to the VIP status and this past weekend I was treated to the good life at PARKLUXE.

Sitting front row isn’t always reserved for media and notable personalities, the option is available to be purchased and just in case you ever wondered what you’re missing, or if you should upgrade your tickets at the next show, here are 3 of my favourite pluses to sitting VIP.

1. Private Lounge Access

If you’re a private person looking to grab a cocktail and a seat then the private lounge is for you.

You’ll be invited to sip and snack on a variety of nibbles created for you from a sponsored restaurant.

At PARKLUXE ANJU wowed guests with its creative and diverse eats.

And don’t worry about elbowing anyone in the face, boob, or spinal cord as you shovel in the sweets from the candy bar… The lounge is large and roomy with plenty of room to maneuver.

The Sponsored SWAG Bags.

From bottles of water to keep you hydrated, to magazines to keep you occupied while you wait, the sponsor bags are loaded with treats.

PARKLUXE Giftbags (Large)

This year, in addition to the delicious chocolates sponsored by East Village, I was delighted to find a great unisex necklace from Dorian Kitsch (@CoutuKitsch) and a very generous gift card from the newly opened Nordstrom!

The whole bag is jammed with exciting surprises that – this year – seemed never ending.

3. Best Seat in the House

Yes, the front row! Pull out your iPhones and snap away because you’ve got the best view in the house!

At this year’s PARKLUXE some lucky VIP guests were even seated smack dab in the middle of the runway!

The up close and personal seating arrangement allows you the opportunity to see the construction and fine workmanship of the garments.

And this year I was thoroughly impressed with several of the designers.

From the edgy and unique show opener Caitlin Power to the snuggly furs by Paul Hardy, the fashions had me wanting to tackle the models just to try it on for size!

For me, the opportunity to attend PARKLUXE as a VIP is an experience well worth the ticket price.

The hard working team behind PARK continues to throw what I feel is the most interesting evening of fashion in Canada… And it continues to get better every year!

I can’t wait for the next one!
