I’ve been to fashion events around the world and besides the fashion, all shows are typically the same.
Get in, get out.
But that’s where PARK in Calgary, AB does it different…
The show is more than fashion, it’s a night of celebration.
The doors open to a party frenzied crowd 2 hours before the first heel hits the runway.
And this year the team at PARK hosted PARKSHOW in yet another creative venue; an indoor driving range.
The domed space was transformed with the use of pop up shops housing the designer fashions, easy access to bubbles at multiple bars which held no lines, and libations from a variety of food vendors to tantalized your taste buds during the evenings events.
First down the runway? The chic Raspberry Lime by Fiasco Gelato.
Next up, a flurry of designers showing their creative collections.
Everything from shoe jewelry by Coutu Kitsch
To Rebecca King and her knit peplums
But the show stealer was Camp Brand Goods who taught the crowd fashion can be comfy.
Then, as the lights dimmed and the final model strut their stuff down the runway, the incredible team of volunteers behind PARK came into the light to take a well deserved bow.
The lights rose and just before the constructed catwalk was torn down, the stylish party goers had their chace to use it as a personal back drop.
PARK sure knows how to twist a night of fashion into an all out evening of entertainment. Their events are so creative and unique that I have added them to my list of must attend fashion events in North America!
Keep up the good work, you continue to wow and amaze me!
