Kit Kat Crazy!

February 5, 2014

This past summer as I vacationed in Asia, I found my sweet tooth hankering for a treat. Off to the store I went in search of my favourite chocolate bar; the Kit Kat. And much to my surprise, my favourite candy bar was about to delivered a trick and a treat, both of which I wasn’t prepared for.

Green Tea Kit Kat

I wrote about this strange flavour of Kit Kat in a story I shared with my friends at Travel+Escape. The taste was delicious and most closely resembled that of a Matcha Frappuccino from Starbucks.

While I was there I picked up a bag of minis to bring back, but when I unwrapped the little green nugget earlier this week I thought the colour was a bit off… I threw old chocolate caution to the wind,  and popped it my mouth.

Yep, that’s right… the lighter colored green wasn’t chocolate gone bad… it was chocolate gone horribly wrong. The initial taste is that of white chocolate but moments into the chew the haunting nasal evacuation of wasabi hits.

I’m a big fan of chocolate, but for me I think I stick to the North American classic versions of the treat!

Sweet and simple.
