Cars and Stars

January 24, 2014

This week I was invited back to one of my favourite places in the whole wide world.

Heritage Park in Calgary, AB.

It’s true… Last year I canned my usual Las Vegas birthday vacation and opted to spend it at the park.

Heritage Park is a lush 127 acre wide open space which can time warp you as far back as the 1860s and the early fur trade.

Take a ride on the S.S. Moyie or make your own headlines in a 1900’s printing press, the adventures are never-ending at Heritage Park.

And now, to celebrate their 50th anniversary, they will open the park this spring with a one price ticket… No more add ons to enjoy the chugging steam train or the ol timey carnival rides, it’s all included in the cost of your admission.

And if you can’t wait till spring for your dose of the magical…

Well they’ve just opened a new exhibit and they offered me a sneak peek!

Cars of the Big and Small Screen!

And this special exhibit has it all, including popcorn!

… And it get’s better!

Hit up the complimentary hair and makeup studio and YOU become the star!

Flintstones Movie Car Willma and Fred Costume

I wont dish too much on all the amazing cars they assembled, but I will tell you that they have the original car used in the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, which is one of the top 10 films from my youth!

Ferris Buller Car Movie Spider FAB

Cars of the Big and Small Screen is just another add-on to show seasons-pass holders and visitors how well they’ve been doing it over the last 50 years.

I will forever be a fan and insist on this as one of the best tourist attractions in all of Canada!

Happy Birthday Heritage Park!
