If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you’ve most definitely seen this guy:
#fairmontcow, this little guy came into my possession during a mimosa filled morning during the 2013 Calgary Stampede.
But what started as petty theft turned into an all-out charitable media blitz!
My friends at Fairmont promised not to call the po-po if I agreed to take the cow on my travels; share him with the world and pass along our message of Western Canadian hospitality!
And because I wasn’t looking to have Orange be my new black, I happily agreed!
So now my #fairmontcow has seen the world!
Singapore, Hong Kong, Bali, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Las Vegas, and NYC!
Not to mention, he’s made some pretty fabulous friends!
But now he’s back in Calgary, has teamed up with a charity… And is looking for a new home!
On Tuesday, November 19th my #fairmontcow will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with proceeds going to support the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Alberta.
And the cow comes with some perks!
Not only will you get the cow with his photos and stories, my friends at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet have included 4 tickets to opening night of Romeo & Juliet and the Fairmont Palliser in Calgary have also graciously included a nights stay with them!
A VIP invite to opening night, a luxurious stay in an amazing heritage hotel, a famous cow and the feel good of supporting the people who work so hard everyday to make sure families are cared for!
What more could a person ask for?!
Currently my #fairmontcow, along with 3 other cows who have also had unique adventures, are on display at the hotel where bids can be made.
Then on Tuesday November 19th from 4-6 everyone is invited to the Palliser for some refreshments as we send the cow home with his new owner!
And although I’ll miss my #fairmontcow, I’ll always remember the good times we had!
