It’s not every day you get to meet an American Icon, but this week not only did I get to meet one, she also had something very special in store for me!
This week Mallory Hagan, the reigning Miss America, was in Calgary… And after her very public ‘White Hatting’, I was to host a special fashion show for Joseph Ribkoff with her as the special guest.
Prior to the show I was able to spend some quality time with the newly crowned Miss America.
We laughed and gossiped about boys. It was one hair braid & set of pyjamas away from a full-on slumber party.
And then it happened; she had a surprise for me!
With a set of acrylic roses and a plastic mini crown, I was living every little American girl’s dream!
This was my moment!
There were no complicated questions, bathing suit competitions, evening wear show downs or runners up.
It was just me, in my Calgary Stampede giddy up, being crowned Miss‘ter’ Fab!
It was the highlight of my year and a moment I’ll never forget!
