It all started in grade 7, my big moment, I was cast in some nonsensical school play. Five lines later I considered myself the star of the show, and since that moment I have greedily longed for more moments under the stage’s bright lights.
And tonight this born and raised prairie boy with big city Broadway dreams is about to get his shot, thanks to a new reality series called ‘Make It Happen’
Mid 2012 I decided to send a letter and ask the producers to consider making my Broadway dreams happen.
“A lofty request” was their response…
But the hard working production team didn’t give up and tonight on the SHAW network across the country, you’ll get to join me on the adventure of having one of my big dreams turn in to a reality while I train and rehearse with the cast from…
Rock of Ages!
I may not be able to sing and my dance skills might be questionable, but when you have the chance to be trained by Broadway’s best… Taking the stage becomes possible!
Add in selective editing and a final cut that *fingers crossed* makes me look good, and you’ve got Fab living a reality TV dream!
This was also the first time I had a chance to see the smash Broadway hit, which recently replaced Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas.
Part musical, part comedy, this show features some of the greatest songs from the 80’s and it keeps the crowd widly cheering for more.
It was an honour to be a part of the cast for the day; hair, make-up, wardrobe… the entire look put together from the very talented crew behind the scenes.
Hours of hard work all came together for an amazing show and I had an amazing experience.
I could never possibly thank the entire team enough for making my dreams a reality.
Broadway Across Canada, bottom line productions, and the entire SHAW media team
I’ll be tuning in tonight!
Mr. Fab it Happened!
