Tasty Tuesday (Cocktail O’Clock with Vodka)

November 13, 2012

There are some great new libations out on the market, and last week at the RM Food & Wine Show I got a taste of some of the best!

Im a huge fan of cocktails, but not the added calories of all those mixes.

But now, thanks to the delicious minds of others I can enjoy a night of bevies all whilst cutting out the ‘juicy’ middle man!

Here are my top 4 product highlights from the show

#1 Magic Moments Remix Lemon Grass and Ginger

This is not only one of the most delicious Vodkas I have ever tasted, it’s the only Gluten Free vodka I’ve ever seen!

This rice based vodka uses water from the Himalayas and pure vegetable extract which offers a clean, fresh and original taste. (www.M2Vodka.com)

#2 Square One Cucumber

I have been a fan of this ultra pemium vodka for some time and it is the only organically produced vodka I know of.

In the past I have mixed the flavorless vodka with my favorite cucumber soda from DRY Soda.

So you can only imagine my excitement when I learnt they were now making a refreshing cucumber flavored vodka…

Forget muddling cucs in the bottom of your glass, Square One has aced the taste for you!

#3 Van Gogh PB&J Vodka

Looking to replace your carby mid afternoon snack with a liquid treat instead? Look no further.

For years I have been shaking up 2/3 Chambord and 1/3 Frangellico into a tasty martini, but my work has just been cut out for me.

Shake this vodka over ice and you’ve got the new hero of the night!

#4 Bakon Bacon flavored Vodka

Just when I thought I had seen it all, a new vodka comes along to enhance my eggy breakfast.

The smokey vodka was mixed for me in a ceaser and it added a nice alternative to my standard salty concoction.

With so many great new ideas coming forth it makes me wonder what might come next. But for now I am perfectly happy to sit back and sip these new inventions which have spiced up my cocktail hour!

Thanks to the above companies for making the world a more delicious place!
