H&M Stirs Up Fashion with Anna Dello Russo

Tomorrow October 4th, select H&Ms around the world will open their stores to the world of Anna Dello Russo.

The self proclaimed ‘Fashion Icon’, who currently holds the role of Editor for Japanese Vogue, has created an over the top collaboration with H&M that has made Donatella Versace’s line for them look tame.

The entire collection mimics the designer’s personal taste for opulence and style, with inspiration taken from her personal effects and the furniture she surrounds herself with; She insists everything must be dripping in gold!

At first look, Anna is doppelgänger for a youthful Janice Dickinson… and as soon as she speaks you know she is just as wild!

She is not only an editor, model and designer like Janice, she also stars in her own “music video” where she deligates ‘Fashion Rules’ to the viewer.

Wow… A few of my favourites:

“Fashion is always uncomfortable!”

and

“Somebody wearing your same outfit? Good, they made the right choice!”

Although the line is much too ladylike for me to even snag a piece and call it unisex, I do have 2 items that I would be lining up to purchase if I were a ‘her’.

The gold and gemstone alligator braclet $39.95 (which remids me a little too much of a design by Kenneth Jay Lane)

and this amazing clutch with golden deer latch for $69.95

Both pieces have my temperature rising for the outrageous designs from Anna Dello Russo.

H&M, you continue to surprise and shock me with the power of your brand. No other retailer has ever had more collorations than you, and you continue to out-do yourself every time finding the best!

Keep moving fashion in the right direction!

Mr. Fab ello Russo
