Fairmont Palliser’s Pop-Up Afternoon Tea Givaway!

August 7, 2012

Earlier this year I paid a visit to a good friend in Vancouver, it had been a while and we needed to catch up.

Not overly familiar with coffee shops and restaurants in Vancouver, I decided to ask around, I wanted to find the perfect setting so we could talk, sip and snack the afternoon away. And I wanted it to be interesting and unique; a wish list that was not going to be easy to fulfill.

Then I was recommended the Fairmont Palliser’s Afternoon Tea; it had it ALL!

When I first arrived for our reservation we were escorted to a beautifully set table of colourful and expensive looking china.

A large menu of tea to choose from also awaited us, and with guidance we were each able to choose a delicious selection.

As we gossiped and laughed a ‘tower’ of some of the tastiest scones, tea sandwiches and sweets were delivered. I quickly tied my linen napkin around my neck as a bib!

Our tea was topped up and we spent two hours enjoying the full VIP service, and each others friendship.

It was most definitely the best mid-afternoon date I have ever had.

And now Fairmont Calgary is hosting something even a bit more special; their first-ever Pop-Up Afternoon Tea event and they want a set of my readers to experience it first!

The Fairmont Palliser’s Afternoon Tea will be served like never before. A decadent tea party, held at a surprise Calgary location on Saturday, August 18th, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The venue and details are so secretive that they won’t even tell me! In true Pop-Up form, the location of the event will be kept a secret until three days prior to the occasion.

There is limited space available for this exclusive occasion and the cost is a very reasonable; $50/ per guest. But as I said, two of you will be going compliments of Fab and Fairmont Palliser.

As always you’ll have two ways to enter;

Mr. Fab-up Tea

  1. I would take my best friend Jonathan who just moved back to Calgary from Vancouver. Even miles away he is always here for me.

  2. I would take my BFF Crystal – she just graduated with her second degree and is about to take off for Spain for a few weeks! It would be awesome to get to spend some time with her before she jets off!

  3. Hands down I would take my bestie Tanis! We’ve been each others’ sidekicks for the past 15 years.
I promise to bring our most fabulous selves to the event sans our sidekick capes and onesies… we’ll do a one-time trade-in for heels and sundresses that day 🙂

  4. Oh wow, I LOVE high tea, what an incredible giveaway and a wonderful new event! I’ve always heard amazing things about tea at the Fairmont Palliser but I’ve never gone… it\’s always been on my wishlist!

I would take my grandmother with me. She\’s a traditional girly-girl at heart and she\’s always loved all the lace and frills of a teaparty! She would absolutely adore this and it would be such a great way to let her know what a rockin’ grandma she\’s been to me all these years. 🙂

Really hope I win, keep up all the fabulous (wink wink) work! 🙂

  5. I would take my best friend. She is now a bit of a high-tea connoisseur (frequenting the Banff Springs high tea often), but I love the twist on this pop-up one! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  6. I would take my girl friend from the UK who appreciates a fine tea & misses ‘home’ terribly!

  7. I would take my friend Scarlett who lives in Vancouver as it would surely tempt her to come visit me in a way my friendship alone, cannot. (I moved here from Vancouver not long ago and I miss her and her tea obsession dearly).

  8. I would of course take my fabulous girlfriend who loves tea more than anyone else I know. But more than that, she loves getting dressed up for tea. 🙂

  9. I would take my KS Braden! We have some serious debriefing to do… and we’re classy, so high tea would be perfect!

  10. I would bring one of my girlfriends who is annoyed with me as an effort to make nice 🙂

  11. Sounds amazing! I would take my mother. She’s always working and never takes time for herself. This would make her feel fancy and wonderful. Good luck to all!

  12. I would take my awesome and handsome husband. One of us is always working and the other is looking after our 2 babies (2 years and 10 months). We need some refined time together! 🙂
