A few weeks ago I was out when I received an important call from my agent…
“You have an audition in one hour!”
Like any good actor I had a headshot/resume in my car and a million auditions under my belt… I was ready to rock!
The audition; First Calgary Financial
My agent emailed me over the script and I quickly tossed it to my trash folder… Too many bad past auditions where I have completely over prepared… I decided to try a new approach;
To just do ME!
As I barged into the casting room I let out a sing-song ”Hello” and ‘moon-walked’ to my spot in front of the camera.
This was indeed my lucky day… ME was exactly what the script was calling for.
When I left the room I was 80% confident I had nailed the auditioned and booked the commercial but considering I am 80% wrong most of the time… I wasn’t so sure how this was going play out.
A few days later, the call I was waiting for!
ME was booked!
A day of fitting and a day of rehearsal, I was camera ready!
The production team had worked their butts off to make me look good and after 12 hours of filming…
I present to you the final edit! (which is now airing on TV’s around the country!)
I had such a blast working with such a musically talented cast I would do it over and over again if I could!
