The Gift Guide #1

October 19, 2011

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only person who loves Winter. It cools my hot flashes, the sun isn’t beating in my window at 4am, and the air is crisp & clean.

But what really puts me into a frenzy of happiness is Holiday Shopping! I love shopping and finding those perfect items for my friends and family that they didn’t even know they wanted. Those surprises that are hard to find, and exclusive; I love a challenge.

If you’re the opposite of me, the holidays probably stress you out but don’t worry, I am here to help.

This holiday season I will team up with the CORE and give away tickets to the most amazing shopping event of the year. I will also be giving you my top 3 gift finds each Wednesday in hopes of helping you out. But by November 30th, if you’re still at a loss, my partner in crime CanadianBeauty and I will be at the event as your personal ‘gift guides’ to help you find those special items.

So lets start with jewelry. I have mentioned before that I am lucky I wasn’t born a girl because if I had been, I would be a tragic mess as I am in love with the sparkle. My motto is, ‘More is More’ and I would wear 20-30 pounds of bling at a time.

Some of the most unique and original pieces of jewelry can be found this year at BCBG. They have smaller quantities to keep things original and vary from conservative to WOWZA.

A fan of wowza I am in love with the cluster of chains in this necklace. ($149)

This would be pefect for any age, pair it with a basic black dress to make it a statement or downplay it it with a white shirt and a blazer. Great your wife, girlfriend or fashionaista friend.

Now moving on to the furnishings for men. Ties are so typical but when you team them up one of the most amazing design houses in the world, the result is ‘fashion’ for men.

The Alexander McQueen Skull Tie (199.99) available from Holt Renfrew comes in 4 colors and would make a perfect addition to your husbands or boyfriends collection.

If you’re trying to get your son into a tie… This is one he’d be happy to wear.

Now if you’re looking to really make a statement, this pattern is also available in a bowtie ($149.00) and it’s on my personal holiday wish list!

Last on this weeks gift guide is the perfect place to shop for Kids and Babies.

With the largest selection for the brand, H&M rocks with perfect holiday outfits for the little ones. The price of the clothing, which starts as low as $5.95 for a top, has made me the favorite uncle to my niece and nephew when I show up looking like I just won the lottery.

And beacause of their expansive floor space, you’ll have no problem manouvering  stroller around if you need to.

So whoever the person or whatever their style, I just know over the next 6 weeks I’ll be bound to cover them.

What I want to know is, ‘Who is the hardest person on your list to shop for?

Add a comment below and I will randomly a person who will get a set of tickets to the Holiday Shopping Event at the CORE November 30th.

You can also tweet me if you’d like and you’ll be entered too. ( @immrfabulous )

Winners will be contact Friday. And keep coming back, I will be giving out more tickets and even CORE gift card every week!

Get ready to get your shop on!
