As of yesterday Calgary is the proud new parent to it’s newest baby:

Fleuvog

The store is located downtown Stephen Ave (207 8th Avenue SW), and it opened Canada Day to a line of ‘Fluvogians’ with their self-proclaimed biggest YYC fan Janice, at the front of the line. I managed to corner her upstairs for a photo, the space will soon be converted to a ‘Flu-seum’ to house and showcase the history of the brand.

Now I have to proclaim my disappointment that there was an exclusive pre-party the night before of which I was left off the invite list, but they won me back by serving me day old cupcakes while I shopped! They knew the way to my heart, old sweets and new fashion!

Today I fell in love with a shoe named ‘Paris‘ ($250). Perhaps it’s because I secretly want to be Carrie Bradshaw circa Paris with Aleksandr Petrovsky or perhaps I just know a good thing when I see it. This shoe is showy without being over the top and has really upped the ante for the classic nude pump.

Fluevogs are fabulous; comfy, fantastic quality and creative styles that spin you in a circle and leave you stumbling around dizzy wanting more. The shoes are perfect for that person who wants to stand out. They mix contrasting colors and patterns resulting in a truly unique shoe.  

I can’t wait to see some more style walking around DT Calgary.
