Welcome to Florence & Pisa, Italy

May 28, 2011

Who says you can’t see all the sites in one day. Sure I may have had to bolt through the streets of Pisa looking like I just jacked someone in the park, trying to nab a few photos, then hightail it back to catch my train… But a little hustle and I was on my way to suss out ‘The Situation’ in Florence.

Now when I say ‘The Situation’ I mean Mike from MTV’s Jersey Shore, the cast had just arrived 3 days prior to me and thanks to photos on Perez Hilton’s website, I knew what their new crib looked like. Unbeknownst to me, all buildings in Florence look very similar and my dream of ‘smushing’ with the cast was dead.

This was most definitely for the best as it allowed me to see the refined side of Florence. The most amazing part was climbing the close to 500 steps in a tight walled staircase to get to the top of ‘Duomo’ (a church and one of Italy’s finest examples of renaissance architecture).

For only 8 Euro I had a new set of tight super legs and the nicest view anyone could hope for in Florence.
