Hanna (horrible movie review)

April 19, 2011

Even if a movie has a bad script, I am willing to tolerate it if everything else is done well. This was certainly not the case with Hanna. No not Hanna Montana, trust me I would have rather watched 2 hours of her dancing around on stage.

Here is the basis of the movie: Girl is raised from a baby in the secluded woods (no this is not Disney’s Tangled, that was good), some bad guys are out to get her cause she is some secret DNA super ninja.

The cast, Eric Bana, Cate Blanchett, and Saoirse Ronan (the lead actress from Lovely Bones, who should have been nominated for an Oscar

Great cast in a movie that was horribly edited! Scenes that are not imperative to the story line that just drag on and on, and obvious details that were over looked.

My biggest beef was the scene when ‘Hanna’ is riding in the camper van and her hair is blowing in the wind. They do a tight shot of her face that last a good 15 seconds and all I could stare at were the 2 piercing holes in her ears.

Right, a girl raised in the woods just popped by the mall on a saturday to get her ears pierced… Honestly? Great job on overlooking the obvious in a movie that is horrible in the first place.

3 of my favorite actors and a great soundtrack all in one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Don’t waste your time or money with this less than average script.
